Passed on from father to son.
My entire life, my father was a woodworker. I can remember early on visiting him at his workshop, seeing the amazing creations coming to life. I've always loved the idea of taking something special from nature and transforming it into a piece of furniture to last a lifetime. As soon as I was able I began learning and building with my father. I remember as a young man taking on more and more responsibility with projects. While I did not always see woodworking as a career, after college and working a few different jobs, and with a tremendous amount of support from my incredible wife and dog, I fell back into my passion, and in August of 2021, SanderSon Woodcraft was reborn.
The Logo
I love the idea of legacy. When my father started his woodworking business in the early 90's, he needed a logo. My maternal grandfather happened to be an accomplished artist, and designed him a logo. It is exactly the same as the one you see above, except he had a lowercase "s" in Sanderson. After my father passed and I began my woodworking business, I knew there was only one logo I would use. After a slight modification, the logo you now see was brought to new life, to live on through Dad's Sander"Son"
